Mr Rust was a fine gentleman. My dad worked for him for a couple years and we were all blessed to know him.
Sad to hear of Frank’s passing last year. I did not know him well but did spend a bit of time with him when I purchased the ranch known as Halali from him 20 years ago.
This message is mostly for Jenni, I cleaned out the old garage by the main house and found your old freshman yearbook. It is in decent shape if you want it email me at [email protected].
I loved Frank so much! He was the best neighbor anybody could want. Always so friendly - and generous! He helped us out in some hard times. One year we had a drought. When telling him our water storage tanks was running low, he offered that we could stretch hoses from his spiket by his well to our tank and fill up - “ what is neighbors for” was his remark - such a remarkable man he was! And a fine sense of humor, he had- even quite a ways into his illness.
We got to know Frank, when he was with Sylvia. She was the reason we met Frank as she needed computer help. We went over to their home by Ahihi Kinau, which was wonderful- Steve and Sylvia could work and Frank and I would snorkel in that best of all places. Then we all had great lunch as they liked delicatessen and special micro brews.
That we became neighbors some years later, was pretty awesome.
