Frank Masaru Takehara's Obituary
Frank “Marco” Masaru Takehara, 84 yrs. of age, passed away on October 29, 2022, in Wailuku, Hawaii.
Frank was born on June 28, 1938, in Wailuku, Hawaii to the late Frank Kaichi Makaena Takehara and Tamayo (Matsumoto) Morisaki. He grew up in Stable Camp Ku Wailuku Sugar and was the youngest of 5 children. He retired from A&B Properties.
Frank enjoyed Fishing, Hunting and Diving. At times you would find him parked at the Kahului Boat ramp eating snacks or drinking his coffee, reading newspaper while enjoying the boats come in. He also enjoyed watching his Japanese shows.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Takehara. Sons: Michael (Helen Garcia) Takehara, Alan (Kelcie) Takehara and Brian (Arlene Jacintho) Takehara. Daughter: Sharon (Randy) Fernandez. Grandchildren: Chasi Takehara, Keenan (Kahealani) Takehara, Keeanu Takehara, Micah Takehara, Michael Takehara Jr, Matthew Fernandez, Alyssa Fernandez, Kyle Takehara, Mika Takehara and Ajaleigh Takehara. Great Grandchildren: Kezairah, Kawelo and Lawai Takehara. Sister: Jane (Roy-dec’d) Ogawasara. Long time good friend Richard Yamashita.
He was predeceased by his parents Frank Kaichi Makaena Takehara and Tamayo (Matsumoto) Morisaki. Brother: Richard (Jinx-dec’d) Takehara. Sisters: Doris Fukuda and Frances Akemi Takehara.
