So sad to read that Freddie is gone. May he rest in love and peace in the arms of Jesus and his beautiful parents, Mary and Fred.
Uncle playing Ukulele & chillin in Kula park. He was a sweet & easy goin man.
My condolences to those family members that surrounded him with love everyday. Aloha Uncle Fred We love you!
I loved Fred like an older brother. He was there for me whenever I needed a shoulder to lean on. He would always be welcoming with smiles, jokes, and song. He will be missed.
Fred was a noble man. Sometimes long deep suffering brings a wisdom otherwise unavailable. I loved hearing about his life and accomplishments on the Mainland and at home in Hawaii when he was young, at UV Davis, the many things he knew and accomplished , how far he traveled , how much more he knew and cared about about, but would never brag about
He cared for all the people he did taxes for. Did not treat anyone only transactional.
Though a wild man and a wrestler when young, he was nobody's fool, and after a death defying accident , was wise and kind, and cared more for others than himself. If you didn't get to know him, you might never know.
Fred, a man of gentleness and compassion whose music struck my heart and soul deeply.
Fred, you will be missed by all of us who were lucky enough to enjoy your presence even for a little while.
Uncle Fred gave me my first ukulele…
