Gary Ketcher Sr.'s Obituary
Gary Lynn Ketcher passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday June 3rd, 2026 in Kihei, Hawaii. Born on September 27, 1952 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Gary will be always remembered as a loving soul who deeply cherished his family and many friends. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who dedicated much of his life serving others through youth, family, job and housing programs in Oklahoma and the Cherokee Nation. Gary was also a very talented musician playing keyboards and guitar with multiple bands through the years in Oklahoma and Hawaii. Over the recent years he was able to “go back to the island” to live in paradise alongside his soulmate Susan. He was no doubt happiest when they were together telling stories and hanging out with family and friends making each other laugh and smile. Gary will always be remembered as kind, likable, humorous, handsome, talented, and known for his caring, gentle nature. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
