Gerald L. Rodrigues' Obituary
Gerald Louis Rodrigues of Kula, Maui, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 21st, 2023 at the age of 64. Born in Wailuku, Maui on May 21st, 1958, the second of five sons to Joseph P. and Janet M. (DeRego) Rodrigues.
Gerald graduated from St. Anthony High School with the Class of 1976. Following graduation, he worked for Haleakalā Dairy as a Paniolo, where he met his wife of 44 years. He became a loving father who taught his children the importance of living with Aloha. He later went on to work for Maui Pineapple Co, Ltd. and retired to spend his days taking care of his cherished Kula ʻĀina, restoring Willys and Commando Jeeps, and enjoying his friends and family.
Gerald’s Aloha will live on through his wife, Colette (Abreu), his children, Anstin (Melissa) and Lokana (Travis Reed), his grandchildren Lili, Huntley, Makana, Kamaile and Halia, his brothers, Bob, Joseph, Frank (Kim) Rodrigues, his Hanai brother, Jerry Thompson, his nieces, nephews and many of his loved ‘Ohana.
He rests in love with his mother and father, Joseph P and Janet M Rodrigues and his brother, Michael L. Rodrigues.
A celebration of life will be held at Waipuna Chapel, 17 Omaopio Rd, Kula, HI on May 20th 2023 at 11:30 am.
