Gregory Steven Lang's Obituary
Gregory Lang, beloved father, husband, son, and brother, passed away on March 1, 2026. He was 62 years old.
Greg was born on May 18, 1963 in Anaheim, California, and moved to Michigan around the age of seven, where he would grow up before eventually making his way west.
He built a remarkable career that spanned decades and took him across the country. He began in entry level accounting at Intel in Oregon, rising to Vice President before taking on a CEO role at IDT in Silicon Valley. He later served as President and CEO of PMC-Sierra, where he led the company through significant growth and ultimately guided it through a successful acquisition. After semi-retiring, Greg channeled his drive and vision into a new chapter, purchasing and reviving the Koholā Brewery in Maui, Hawaii alongside his wife, Mary, turning it into a beloved gathering place for the community he called home.
Greg was a man of great passion and even greater presence. He was devoted to fitness and the outdoors, and could just as often be found snowboarding, wakeboarding, or scuba diving as he could behind a desk. He was a lifelong Michigan Wolverines fan, a lover of rock music, and a dedicated traveler who embraced everything life had to offer. Those who knew him well also knew his love for his cats, his meticulous organization, and his ability to make anyone feel taken care of.
He is survived by his wife Mary Anderson, his son Tyler Lang, his daughter Amanda Lang, his mother Theresa Crotty, his brothers Doug and Keith Lang, the mother of his children Dina Lang, as well as a wide and loving extended family of nieces and nephews who were all better for having him in their lives. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome, his brother, Jay, and his nephew, Luke.
Greg lived on his own terms, built things that lasted, and showed up for the people he loved without exception. He will be deeply missed.
