I used to visit Maui 2 to 3 times a year staying in Puamana. Every morning I would through downtown and I always enjoyed watching Harold protecting the students and teachers as they crossed the street. High fives and hugs with the biggest smile. I introduced myself and asked him to talk story about his life. I enjoyed our conversations. Harold had a kind compassionate soul. Rest in heavenly peace brother Harold. You are truly missed
So many fond memories of Bruddah Kaniho! Hiking up the "L" in Lahaina. Getting a personal tour of ancient petroglyphs. Going all through the sugarcane factory. Pew-weeee! Receiving my Hawaiian name, which he contemplated for all the missionaries serving with him in Lahaina. Teaching many people with him. Watching how easily he loved others. Wow. He was truly a faithful disciple of the Lord. I love my brother in the gospel, Hale. He inspired me to live my best life. I am so grateful for our time shared together in life. Much aloha, my friend.
I remember the many many smiles, that i saw on his face, he is a survivor, he overcame many challenges!! I love you and miss you papa :( Thank you for everything you did for me, I will forever be greatful, thank you for treating me as your own grandchild, I am sorry for everything I did to your family.
