Hatsue Tengan's Obituary
Hatsue Tengan, 92, of Haliimaile, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2016, with loving family by her side.
Private services were held by the family. In lieu of koden or monetary gifts, a donation can be made to Hale Makua – Kahului.
Hatsue was born on January 14, 1924 to Motoichi & Maki Komoda, in Honolulu, HI.
Hatsue worked and retired from Maui Land & Pineapple Company as a laborer. During her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering, and received an award for senior volunteer of the year. She was grateful for the loving and caring Hale Makua staff that provided care to her over the years.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Francis Seichi Tengan, who passed in 1996; and daughter, Doreen Tengan.
Hatsue leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Alan (Junko) Tengan, Lester (JoAnn) Tengan, and Roy (Debra) Tengan; sisters, Betsy Yoshida, and Arlene Watanabe; brother, Nobuyoshi Komoda; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
