Helen Shigeko Kawahara's Obituary
Helen Shigeko Kawahara, 83, of Lahaina, passed away peacefully at Maui Memorial Medical Center on April 29, 2017, with her loving family by her side.
Services honoring Mrs. Kawahara will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm, with memorial services beginning at 5:00pm. Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Helen was born on March 25, 1924 in Lahaina to Shigeru & Kinue Kawamura. After proudly graduating from Lahainaluna with the class of 1952, she married the love of her life, Mr. Robert Kawahara. She will be remembered as a quiet, humble and caring woman who loved her family unconditionally.
Mrs. Kawahara was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mr. Robert Kawahara and their daughter, Valerie Yoshie Kawahara. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Darren (Wanette) Kawahara; grandson, Isaiah K.M. Kawahara; granddaughter, Rebecca Nahinu; greatgrandchildren, Alyanna Kawahara & Keola Nahinu-Chun; brothers, James (Sets), Norman & Paul (Lillian) Kawamura.
