Henrietta Pakulani Kekipi Kama's Obituary
Henrietta Pakulani Kekipi Kama, 91, of Wailuku, passed away on February 16, 2018 at Hale Makua Kahului. She was born on February 13, 1927 in Wailuku, Maui to Peter and Irene Kekipi. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Nakamura Mortuary. Family viewing at 8:00 am; public visitation at 9:00 am; service at 10:00 am; burial at 2:00 pm, Maui Memorial Park. Henrietta is survived by sons, Harry K. Kama of Wailuku and David K. (Gayle) Kama of Kahului; daughters, Irene L. Vinge of Wailuku and Winona L. Tomita of Kahului; 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren & 7 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, brothers, Christopher P. Kekipi (Mililani, HI) and George Aola (Honolulu, HI); sisters, Frances Kekipi Puu (Waimanalo, HI), Irene Kekipi Feery (Yuma, AZ), Annie Aola Lau (Seattle, WA), Miriam Aola Dela Cruz (Pearl City, HI) and Mary Poai Aola Ceniza (Waianae, HI). Henrietta was predeceased by her husband, Pua Kama; son, Kapualeilani A. Kama; grandson, Eric Vinge; greatgrandson, Derek Kama; brothers, Gregory Kekipi, Peter Kekipi and Moses Aola; sister, Mary Kamee Aola Kahiamoe. The Kama ohana acknowledges with great appreciation the staff of Hale Makua Kahului, the Pikake Neighborhood and the RNP/MEP department for the excellent care given to Henrietta; Teiko Gibson for giving her ‘soothing massages’; and the doctors of Kaiser Permanente.
