Hiroshi Uyeno's Obituary
Hiroshi “Jack” Uyeno, 90, of Kahului, passed away peacefully at home under the care of Hospice Maui.
Services honoring Mr. Uyeno will be held at Wailuku Hongwanji on Friday, June 17, 2016. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm with memorial services beginning at 5:00pm.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Hiroshi was born on Sept. 24, 1925 to Junitsu & Suzumi Uyeno. He was a proud veteran of World War II and was a member of the decorated 442nd and 100th Regimental Combat Team. In April 1954, he married his love, Sadae Sakata, and together they raised their daughter. Hiroshi retired as a mechanic with Valley Isle Motors. After retiring, he continued his passion of working on cars with his friends.
Mr. Uyeno is survived by his beloved wife, Mrs. Sadae Uyeno; daughter, Karen (Raymond) Aguinaldo, and brother, Kazuaki “Bob” Uyeno.
