Hisae Murakami's Obituary
Hisae Murakami, 96, of Kahului, passed away on November 27, 2016, with loving family by her side.
Services honoring Mrs. Murakami will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Nakamura Mortuary, with visitation scheduled to begin at 10:00am, and service at 11:00am. Mrs. Murakami will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Memorial Park at 2:00pm. The family requests no koden or flowers please.
Hisae was born on September 9, 1920 to Eihachi & Minne Nagata, in Spreckelsville, HI. Hisae worked as a packer, and later retired from the Maui Land & Pineapple Company. She loved going to Vegas, and spending time with family.
Mrs. Murakami is predeceased by her loving husband, Tadashi Murakami, who passed in 1997, after 60 years of marriage; and son, Larry T. Murakami.
Hisae leaves to cherish her memory, son, Wallace (Laura) Murakami; daughter, Fay (Howard) Platiro; daughter-in-law, Leora Murakami; grandchildren, Derrick Murakami, Sheryl (Michael) Woo, Dawn (Keith) Kamana, Christopher (Melissa) Platiro, Shelley Platiro, Bryan (Tricia) Matsumoto, and Nami Ann (Dennis) Foree; and 9 loving great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate and loving care received from Hale Makua Wailuku, and Islands Hospice.
