Hisayo Hanzawa's Obituary
Hisayo Hanzawa, 89, of Kahului, died on February 8, 2015, at her home, under the care of Hospice Maui.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a,, Wednesday February 18, at Nakamura Mortuary, with services at 10:30 am. The family requests no flowers, please.
Mrs. Hanzawa was born on April 24, 1925, in Wailuku. She was a pantry worker at Maui Frontier, The Landing, and The Charthouse.
She was predeceased by her husband, Toshio Hanzawa, and her granddaughter, Sherrie Piano, and is survived by her daughters, Velme (James) Sugimoto, Linda (Richard) Ferreira, and Faye (Floys) Fuerte; her grandchildren, Jason Sugimoto, Lisa (Kyle) Yagi, and Brandon (Maile) Ferreira; her great grandchildren, Kylee Jaye, Keelan, and Kaylee Yagi; and her brother, Hisaji Hosoda.
Hisayo was a very good wife and mother, and a wonderful grandmother.
