James Takashi Yamashiro (90), July 23, 1933 – November 11, 2023, passed on peacefully in his residence at Roselani Place, Kahului. He is survived by his sister Edith Wall (Honolulu) and brother Allan Yamashiro (San Diego), predeceased by his parents Haru Yamashiro and Taruzo Yamashiro, brother Walter Yamashiro, and sister Alice Arakawa. James a Maui High School and Northrop Aeronautical Institute graduate was a U.S. Army veteran and aircraft maintenance supervisor for Western and Delta Airlines. Formally from Haiku, he resided in Torrance CA most of his life until moving back to his birthplace, Maui.
