Jan Stacey Dickson's Obituary
Jan Stacey Dickson, 70 of Kihei, Maui passed away November 11, 2025 under hospice; born on November 15, 1954 in San Luis Obispo County, California.
Jan moved to the North Shore of O‘ahu with her husband Jim in the early 1970’s before traveling the islands on their Trimaran sailboat then spending some time on Moloka’i before building their forever home in Kihei, Maui in 1978. She had a strong love for the ocean and sailing, including trips between the islands and the West Coast. She loved fishing and competing in tournaments, summer camping trips on the North Shore of Moloka’i, spending time with her friends and taking trips to California to visit friends and family. Jan worked as a restaurant manager and bartender throughout the years at different establishments on Maui, such as Chuck’s Steakhouse and Silversword Golf Clubhouse. Everyone will remember her love for animals, being a strong-willed person, and always speaking the truth.
She is predeceased in life by her husband James “Jim” Dickson, step-son Shay Dickson; survived by sister Stacey (Jerome) Breitenbach, son Cody (Kelli) Vares, daughter-in-law Mari Dickson, nephews Kris and Jason, nieces Heather and Dionne, grandchildren Kyle, Conner, Sadie and Kylani, along with many friends and extended ‘ohana.
Scattering of ashes will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Kihei Boat Ramp. Please join the 'ohana in sending Jan off on her return home to Jim. Flowers for scattering are welcome.
