Jay Haruyuki Tanaka, 68, of Kula, Maui Passed away on November 16, 2025.
Born on March 22, 1957.
Jay dedicated 45 years of service to Hawaiian Cement Maui, where he worked as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic/Lead Man.
Jay was admired for his loyalty, strong work ethic and steady presences as a leader and mentor to those he worked with.
He enjoyed traveling to Japan, embracing the culture, food and experiences.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents, Koichi and Shigeko Tanaka.
He is survived by his brothers Lee Tanaka and Mark Tanaka along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday December 16, 2025, at Makawao Hongwanji.
