Jerry JB Edlao's Obituary
Jerry “JB” Edlao, 74, stepped into the gates of Heaven on March 13, 2025. He was born on August 1, 1950, in Puʻunēnē, Hawaii. He graduated from H.P. Baldwin High School in 1968 and joined the U.S. Navy after graduation. Jerry served two tours in Vietnam as a signalman on a destroyer escort and was honorably discharged in 1972.
Jerry worked at various pest control companies on Oʻahu & Maui until he founded Accu-Pest & Termite Control Services in 1994. As an active member of the community, Jerry has served on multiple boards including the Maui Contractors Association, Valley Isle Kennel Club of Maui, Kahului Union Church, Hawaii Pest Control Association, Maui County Planning Commission, Maui County Board of Variances & Appeals and the Hawaii State Department of Land & Natural Resources.
Remaining to cherish Jerry’s memory is his beloved wife, Cynthia (Goo); children, Cyri (George) Leatualii, Jacy Edlao and Cyje Edlao; grandchildren, Ciulisoe (Samantha) Leatualii, Miccah (Hawaiʻiloa) Leatualii, Audreyanna Leatualii, and Melito Jr. Guillermo; great-grandchildren, Tasi, Leahi, Losa, Alo, Moana, Tofiga, Phoebe and Prisca; brothers and sisters, Frederico Edlao, Julia Yagi, Diana Iniba, Herman Edlao and Stanley Edlao; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Jerry in death are parents, Mariano Sr. and Maria Edlao; Sister, Regina Corpuz and Brother, Mariano Jr. Edlao.
Visitation and service will be held on April 22, 2025, at Nakamura Mortuary.
Family visitation will be 8:00 - 9:00 AM with public visitation between 9:00 – 10:30 AM. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Makawao Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
