John Kenneth Carlson's Obituary
John Kenneth Carlson, who passed away on January 4th, 2024 at the age of 57, was born on December 3rd, 1966 in Everett, WA to Jim & Sharon. He is survived by Jim and Polly Carlson, brother Richard James Thompson, sister Christina Simpson, daughters Nichole Alicia Carlson, and Katelyn Paige Carlson.
When John was younger, he loved riding dirt bikes, driving small outboard hydroplanes, playing, swimming, and fishing on Tulalip beach. He learned to sail in a dinghy from his dock. John played little league for several years and was a very good pitcher. After high school, John worked in a lumber mill, was a marine mechanic, worked as a yacht builder, and worked as a blackjack dealer in Las Vegas. John moved to Maui, HI in 2017, where he enjoyed the warm climate and beaches.
John will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his passion for sailing, and his dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
