John Mitsuru Ebisu's Obituary
John Mitsuru Ebisu, of Kahului, died May 12, 2013, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Wailuku and was a professional civil engineer.
Private services were held.
He is survived by sisters, Yvonne (Carl) Segawa and Eunice (Michael) Morisaki; uncles, nieces and nephews; and his “Alaska family” of friends.
John loved challenges in Alaska, working in off-shore oil exploration and pipeline construction. His legacy includes highways, dams, bridges, buildings, and other structures all over the world. John inspired others by his example to travel off the beaten path throughout the world and in life.
He was a skilled fisherman and photographer.
