John Edward Fernandez's Obituary
John Edward Fernandez, 60, of Kahului, Maui passed away on April 18, 2023, at his residence. He was born on November 26, 1962, in Wailuku, Maui to John William Fernandez and the late Patricia Ann Fernandez. John was a self-taught part salesperson who worked for numerous dealerships on Maui (Cutter of Maui, Haleakala Motors, Jim Falk, Island Honda & Napa auto parts) John was very passionate about his participation with the Maui Chinese Martial Arts Academy under the late Sifu Steve Catugal. John is pre-deceased by his mom. and survived by his father, John W Fernandez; his son Chaz Fernandez; stepdaughter Kecia Sakugawa & Ohana; brothers Michael J. Fernandez and Bryan (Leila) S. Fernandez, and nephews David John and Bryson. He also leaves behind numerous Ohana and Friends.
Visitation over URN will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Nakamura’s Mortuary in Wailuku from 5:30pm to 8:00pm with service to begin at 7:00pm. Family request no flowers. A Celebration of Life in his honor will be announced at a future date.
