Josefina Rosete's Obituary
Josefina Rosete, 77, of Paia, Maui, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, in Paia, Hawaii, with her daughters by her side under the care of Hospice.
She is survived by daughters Joferlove (Joe) Vicente, and Gretel (Reggie) Saraos; 9 grandchildren (Joseph Vicente, Jr. (JJ), Justin Vicente, Jordan Vicente, Jadelyn Vicente, Dyllen-Jaye (DJ) Caoile, Rilee-Maye Saraos, Shailee-Faith Saraos, Emilee-Grace Saraos, and Caleb Justus Saraos; and one great grandson (Ezekiel). She is also survived by her brother Nelson (Evelyn) Cabanatan (CA) and sisters Zenaida Corpuz (PI), Leonida Pambid (PI), Virgina (Danny) Viernes (PI), Ligaya Cabanatan (MI), Floracel Mangapit (PI), Ardelina (Ronald) Loloquisen, and Rosemelda (Gerald Euplas).
Josefina was preceded in death by her father Floramante Cabanatan, mother Celedonia Cabanatan, brother Ferdinand Cabanatan, sister Lorna Salmazan, and son Romel Rosete.
She was born in Batac Ilocos Norte, Philippines and was brought to Hawaii in 1977 where she worked as a housekeeper of 37 years at Kaanapali Beach Hotel.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling, watching filipino dramas, singing, dancing, and spending time with her family.
She will be dearly missed.
Visitation: Saturday, April 25, 2026, 9:00am -12:00pm at Nakamura’s Morturary with burial at 12:30pm at the Garden of Meditation, Maui Memorial Park in Wailuku.
