Judith K. Kahahane, 73, of Pukalani, Maui died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Maui Memorial Hospital in Wailuku.Visitation will be 6:00pm on Friday, April 27 at Nakamura Mortuary; with a service at 7:00pm and on Saturday, April 28 at 9:00am; with a service at 10:00am. Burial will follow at 12:30pm at Maui Memorial Park - Gardens of Meditation.Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.Mrs. Kahahane was born on March 23, 1939 in Honolulu, Oahu. She is the daughter of Kimo Paahao and Annie (Brown) Gilman of Maui.Mrs. Kahahane, first off, was the minister of The Salvation Fellowship Church. She was a beloved wife, a devoted mother, an adored grandmother, a nurturing great-grandmother, a beautiful sister, an endearing friend in need, but mostly…a cherished woman of God.Mrs. Kahahane was predeceased by her husband, Joseph T. Kahahane, Sr., whom she met and soon became the love her life. They had been married for 51 years before his death on May 25, 2010.Mrs. Kahahane is survived by her five children, Randy (Debra) Kahahane, Dennis (Peterice) Kahahane, Rachiel (Guy) Kahahane-Po’ouahi, Joseph T. (Christine) Kahahane, and Michael (Lisa) Kahahane, Sr.Mrs. Kahahane also leaves 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.Mama loved to sing hymns and share the word of Our Lord, Jesus Christ with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends. One of her favorite of many, many Bible Scripture Verses is found in the Book of Psalms 23:26, “Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.
