Judy Sau Heong Napulani Lara's Obituary
Judy Sau Heong Lara, 82, of Lahaina, Maui, passed away on March 6, 2023 at the Maui Memorial Hospital.
Judy was born in Honolulu, HI to George & Mei Wong on April 12, 1940. She was a proud alumni of Lahainaluna High School; Class of 1958.
She moved to the island of Lanai in 1980 and worked as the Pre-school Director. Judy later returned to Lahaina in 2000 and worked at the Lahaina Ruth Chris Steakhouse as a Reservationist. She had a variety of occupations throughout her life; however, her main job and by far the most valuable was as a Homemaker.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, George & Mei Wong; her brother Wayne Wong; and sisters Jean Gallarde and Jeanette Brockman.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Lara; son, Tim (Carolyn) Laborte; daughters, Tammy (Andy) Pescado and Misty Lara. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Geri Gandall (Seattle, WA), Cindy McKeague (Okinawa, Japan) and Carla Platz (Makawao, HI). She has 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.
A Celebration of her Life will be held over ashes beginning at 9:00AM on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Waiola Church. Followed by a luncheon held at the Keopuolani Hall.
