Shim, Julia E's Obituary
Julia Shim passed away at Maui Memorial Hospital following a fall at home where she fractured her shoulder. She was born in Manilla August 27, 1938, to William and Asuncion Estan Morris. She grew up in Cebu, then made Hawaii her home. She is survived by her husband Richard, son Danny, daughter Cathy (Steve Torres). Julia had a quest for knowledge and was an educator at heart. She retired as an RN from the Hawaii Poison Center @ Kapiolani Medical Center. She then continued working as a substitute teacher for the Dept of Education on Maui. She found great joy in teaching and tutoring children. Julia will be remembered for sharing her Faith, the Bible, and the Gift of Salvation. Her services will be held at the Kahului Seventh-day Adventist Church 261 Puunene Avenue Friday Oct 18, 2024, Visitation 9am Service 10am Burial to follow at
St. John’s Episcopal Church 8992 Kula Hwy. 2pm
