Kaoru Muraoka's Obituary
Kaoru Muraoka, 96, passed peacefully on September 16, 2017 in Pukalani.
Mr. Muraoka was born on April 19, 1921 to Tomoyuki and Shizuyo Muraoka. He attended and was a part of the last graduating class of Wailuku High School. He worked as a bank teller with Bishop Bank and later started Business Equipment Co. He served a Staff Sergeant in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team – Service Company.
He leaves behind to cherish their memory, wife, Fujie Muraoka; daughters, Sharon (Dick) Kamita, Donna (Russell) Ando; son, John Muraoka; grandchildren, Alison (Tho) Vixaysakd, Jason Kamita, Jessica Ando; great grandchildren, Evan and Emme Vixaysakd; sisters, Fumiko Nakamura, Kimiko (Fred) Hirayama, Margie (Isami) Watanabe, Ellen (Takeshi) Moriwaki and brother in law, Yasu Kawawaki.
Private services were held on January 26, 2018 at Kahului Union Church.
