Kay Yoshiko Mata's Obituary
Kay Yoshiko Mata, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and stepmother, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, at the age of 60. Born on December 12, 1963, Kay was a kind-hearted and devoted individual whose presence touched the lives of all who knew her. She was known for her warmth, generosity, and deep commitment to her family.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Fukuichi Harada and Shizuko Kotaki Harada, and her grandparents, Mankichi Harada and Lima Harada who instilled in her the values of love and compassion that she carried throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Mata, as well as her brothers, Steve Harada and Thomas Takeshi Harada. She is also survived by her nephew, Johnathan Harada, and her cherished aunt, Roberta (Bobbie) Urauchi.
In addition, Kay leaves behind a large extended family, including seven stepchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, and 14 step-great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, Kay was a source of strength and love for her stepfamily, embracing her role with grace and affection.
Kay’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were touched by her life. She will be deeply missed.
