To K.K.'s Family,
The Lahainaluna High School Class of 1959 is saddened by the loss of another beloved classmate. While in high school, he served as a Campus Police Officer, was a member of the Future Farmers of America, and the L-Club. K.K. wore #22 jersey on the basketball team and known as a ball handling sensation.
He entertained classmates with his extraordinary singing and dancing at class reunions for many years. He will be greatly missed at future gatherings, but his Aloha spirit ... his smiles, hearty laughter, kindness, and jovial nature ... will remain in our hearts forever.
With deepest sympathy and much love,
Lahainaluna High School Class of 1959
To all of Kenneth Keaunui's family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you gather at this sad time to remember your remarkable brother and uncle.
I will always remember how welcome and loved KK made me feel when I would see him and Auntie Betty at Waiola on a Sunday.
I wish I had a Magic Carpet so that I could be with you tomorrow to say a fond farewell.
with love,
Sue Johnson

Dear Keanui Family,
I send my deepest sympathy for your loss. The sheer joy that Kenneth shared not only with his ukulele but with his everyday encounters will be sorely missed. I am sorry that I can't express my condolences in person, but I know you will be surrounded by the love of family, friends and Waiola Church.
