Kenneth N. Nakamoto's Obituary
Kenneth N Nakamorto (83) of Kahului passed at his home surrounded by his loving family on October 17, 2023. He was born on July 1, 1940 in Wailuku, Maui.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother and father Miyoko Sumida Nakamoto, Kenji Nakamoto and brother Thomas Nakamoto.
Kenneth was a loving husband of 64 years to Deanna (Makekau) Nakamoto. They had 7 children Cheryl Ann (Eugene) Caravalho, Lila (Wayne) Edrada, Kenneth N Nakamoto, Cecilia Carney, Dirk (Scott) Loock, Valerie Nakamoto, and Dannielle (Charles) Farren. 15 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
He is also survived by his siblings Roy (Nira) Nakamoto, Amy (Greg) Williams, many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends who love and will miss him dearly.
Family viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. with public visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Maui Lani; services begin at 11:000 a.m.; burial 2:00 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park.
Kenneth was a man of a few words, humble, very loving and a man with many trades. Just out of high school he worked as a mechanic at Hashi Auto Supply & Service Co. He then went on to work as a Finish Carpenter with Arisumi Brothers finally moved to A&B properties where he retired as the Maintenance Supervisor. He continued working and finally retired as a security office with VIP Food Service.
As you live on in heaven with our Heavenly Father by your side, you will be missed dearly until one day where we will meet again. We love you dad, husband, papa, brother, uncle and dear friend.
