I was friends with Kevin back in the 1970s and also was a classmate of his sister, Katie, at Cathedral Chapel School in Los Angeles. My sister, Ellen, was in Kevin's class at CCS. We hung out together for a few summers and I remember working our first jobs together at the Rossmore House as 15-year old waiters in a retirement home. I have fond memories of those summers with Kevin and sorry to hear of his passing. God bless him and his surviving family.

I was the closest friend to Kevin over the past couple years. I stayed with him on and off quite a bit this last year.i went to see him at xmas to learn about his passing. Kevin went in the manner he wanted to go out in.
I can say that he made no bones about his life and somewhere he is laughing.
I was sad for a minute until i remembered.
Kevin Hope. Would have asked me if i was alright in the head for being sad he died.

Thinking of you today. Today is my b-day and I'm 51 today. We were born only 2 weeks apart. Wish we'd been closer the last couple years but I was lucky to know and work with you for the years we did. Funniest friend I ever had. Toasting a life well lived today. R.I.P my friend.

Kevin was definitely the alpha child back in grade school. We didn't have much to say to each other. We did bond over an appreciation of Jethro Tull. I can still here him sing the refrain of this song.

I was fortunate enough to go to Cathedral Chapel with Kevin. He had a very outgoing personality which made me marvel, because he made friends very easily. I kind of thought of him as Snoopy's character "Joe Cool"; he had that kind of aura.
I found my CCS "memory book", which was our 8th Grade Graduation yearbook, and while leafing through it, I found something Kevin had written to me in the back pages:
"To carrot top, you have been a good friend to me. Keep up the athletics, Kevin"
I was able to connect with Kevin, when we played sports, which was when I was most comfortable. He was a great athlete and even a better friend! So, to my friend in Heaven, "May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.May the sun shine warm upon your face.May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand." I look forward to throwing the football around with you, when we see each other again...

Its always sad and a part of life when we've lost a friend,Kevin,aka Bob aka seven!..was and is my friend we also did the school thing,and not! Hung out for hrs and did nothing!...but when one looks back we did so much! ...we made memories for eachother to carry on. I also met KH WITH FRANKE THEY went to school together and frank and I lived around the corner from each other and thats how we met.Kevin was very strong willed,as most of you know!,Very smart! And I think the lady's would say...easy on the eyes!l well I've missed my buddy for a while now...so I guess I'll never say goodbye,just see you later bud! J.d.
