Kimiye Tapat's Obituary
Kimiye Tapat, 90, of Kahului, died on Dec. 1, 2014, at her home in Kahului.
A 10:00am visitation will be held Tues. Dec. 16, at Nakamura Mortaury, with services at 11am. Inurnment will follow, 12:30pm, at Maui Memorial Park.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Mrs. Tapat was born Nov. 25, 1924, in Puunene, HI.
She dedicated her life to caring for her family and home.
Mrs. Tapat was predeceased by her husband, Macario Tapat, her daughter, Jeanette Tapat-Gesch, and her brother, Shiro Shimada. She is survived by her son, William Feig; daughters, Kay (Tante) Melchor, Shirley (Ivan) Kusuno, Betty (Craig) Fleming; sisters, Momoye Shimada; son in law, Richard Gesch; 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
