Lanebert Areola's Obituary
Lanebert (Bert) Velaso Areola, 63 of Wailuku, Hawaii passed away peacefully in the care of Islands Hospice on April 16, 2021. He was born on September 17, 1957 to the late Avelino and Segundina Areola.
He was born in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, Philippines and moved to Maui in 1987. He was hardworking, he worked at serval hotels and drove taxi.
He was a devoted Christian, a loving husband, great father and a patient grandpa. He will be truly missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Emelita (Emy) Areola, children Kirk William (Christine) Areola and daughter Kimberly (Byron) Riglos, and granddaughters Kyla Skye Riglos and Mia Avery Areola. He is also survived by his siblings, Rufina (Baltazar) Peralta and Benjamin (Ofel) Aquino.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 19th at Nakamuras Mortuary at 10:00-11:00am, followed by a private burial at Maui Memorial Park.
Due to the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19 we the Areola family kindly ask for those in attendance to wear your mask and apply social distancing at all times. Temp checks will be done at the door
