LeRoy Poniokalani Borden's Obituary
LeRoy, 74 of Kahului passed away on December 15, 2020. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all, and will be greatly missed by all. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his ohana. LeRoy has many hobbies but couple of his most favorites were traveling and shopping when possible. He last worked as a bus driver.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his Wife: Frances Rubald Borden; Sons: Francis Edward (Lynette) Borden, Christopher (Harmonie) Borden, Michael James (April) Borden, Daniel (Lei) Borden; Grandchildren: Kainoa Ka'aukai, Taylor Ka'aukai, Caleb Ka'aukai, Gage (Cierra) Borden, Tristyn Borden, Kaylee Borden-Texeira, Patrick Borden, Isaac Borden, Ka'ulawena Ohashi-Borden, Alayna Borden, Elias Borden; Great Grandchild: Michael Andrew Borden; Surviving Siblings: Olive "Moani" (Albert) Pittman, Emma (Clyde "Ace") Thomas, and Dennis (April) Borden.
He is predeceased by his Son: Patrick P Borden; Father: Edward Borden; Mother: Virginia K Kamauoha Borden; Brothers: Walter Edward Borden, Elmer H Borden, Edward Borden Jr, Glenn K Borden, Joseph V.W. Borden, Henry K Borden, Dennis K Borden; and Sister: Lucy H Borden Oshiro.
Services will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Wednesday December 30, 2020. Family visitation at 9:00am, Public visitation at 10:00am and service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Makawao Veteran's Cemetery, 1:00pm.
