Leroy Carrington's Obituary
Leroy Carrington, 76, of Kihei died on Tuesday, October 1st at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Lyford, Texas, where he grew up on a farm and later lived on Maui for 47 years. Leroy was a proud US Army veteran and originally came to Maui on leave from Vietnam in 1970 and later moved here in 1977. He was a small engine mechanic and retired from Reef Development of Hawaii. Leroy was a devout member of St Theresa Catholic Church in Kihei. He was a great photographer and did photo shoots of activities there at church and by request. Leroy also enjoyed fitness, wildlife, especially birds, and topography. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anita Carrington. He has a daughter, Michele Siangco and two grandsons, Joshua and Thomas Dumlao Carrington. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Services will be held on Friday, October 25th at Saint Theresa Church in Kihei. Visitation will begin at 8:30am and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am.
