Linda Nalani Honokaupu's Obituary
Linda Nalani Honokaupu also known to many as "Nalani" went home to the lord surrounded by her loved ones on February 16, 2018 at her home.
She was born in Hana to parents Paul Mailou Sr and Evelyn Kalaola Mailou on May 11, 1951. She was the second daughter of 7 children.
Linda attended the Old Maui High School until her junior year. She played basketball and volleyball and played in the school band. She paddled canoe for Kihei club and played softball, which was her favorite sport.
Linda has been married to James Honokaupu for 50 years before she was called to go home with the lord.
She is survived by husband James M. Honokaupu Sr.; daughters, Christine (Joe) Kahahane Jr., Jocyelynn (Sonny) Honokaupu-Soto; sons, James Honokaupu Jr., Jeffrey Honokaupu, John (Kelcy) Honokaupu, Makane Honokaupu; sisters, Juliett Mailou, Lavern Kaiwi, Evelyn Delanux, Carolynn (Casey) Kauai; brothers, Paul Mailou Jr, Leland (Marlene) Hoopii; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild.
Services will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Friday - March 16, 2018 (5pm - 9pm) and Saturday - March 17, 2018 (9am - 11am)
