Loreto Pacleb Pascual's Obituary
Loreto Pacleb Pascual, 88, of Kahului, passed away peacefully on
May 11, 2020 at his residence. Born on April 2, 1932 to Tiburcio
and Ricarda Pascual in Kahuku, Oahu he spent his first years
there as a child before returning to the Philippines with his
parents.
After completing his schooling in the Philippines, he came back to
Maui in 1952 where he was employed by Kula Hospital. In 1953
he enlisted, and after serving in the Army which took him to
Italy, France, and Germany; returned to Maui and worked for
Maui Dry Goods in Wailuku. He married the former Leonora
Ku’uleialoha Sithar on March 24, 1956 at the Pu’une¯nee¯ Asse mbl y of God. Loret o l at er wor ked f or Sears, ¯
Roebuck and Co., as a service technician where he was better known as “Larry”. Many people knew him
as the guy that came to fix their T.V.s. He retired after 45 years of service.
Loreto is predeceased by his parents Tiburcio and Ricarda Pascual, brothers Manuel, Isebelo, and Rosario;
and Aunt Albina Gabonte.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Leonora; his sons Larry (Stephanie), Darrel; daughter
Karen; grandsons Jeremy (Cecilia), Dayton-Lee; and great-grandchildren Nainoa and Makalewalani. He
leaves behind sister-in-law Bennie (Manuel) Pascual, nephews Ray, Lester, Jojo; and neices Tracy-Ann and
Joanne. He also leaves behind his furbaby Hoku.¯

A visitation will be held on August 8, 2020 at Nakamura Mortuary in Wailuku. Family will be received
from 9 am, and the public beginning at 10 am. A short memorial will start promptly at 11. Due to Covid19 and in accordance of County rules, a face covering is required and social distancing will be observed
during the viewing and service. Internment will be at Maui Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a future date.
