Margo was born in Pa’ia, Maui and spent much of her upbringing at Hamakuapoko plantation camp. She was a devout Catholic, committed to her Holy Rosary Parish, attended St. Anthony School, and loved both playing and watching baseball. After having children, she devoted many of her years as a stay-at-home mom, pouring her heart and soul into nurturing her family. Her home was a sanctuary of love, laughter, and warmth, where she selflessly devoted herself to the well-being and happiness of her children, nieces, nephews, and those she held near and dear to her heart. She later moved to Seattle, WA and worked as a District Manager for Goodwill stores. In 1991, Margo moved back to Maui making it her permanent home again. Margo was known for her ‘ono gandule rice, and was an active member of the Maui Puerto Rican Association for over three decades, and a member of the Portuguese Association of Maui for over two decades. She loved singing, line dancing, and traveling the world (especially Las Vegas). She had a very giving heart and always put others before herself. Margo’s legacy of love and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service for Margo will be held at her parish, Holy Rosary Church, on Saturday, May 11, 2024 with family visitation at 9:00am, public visitation from 9:30 am, with Mass to follow at 11:00am. Lunch and refreshments will follow Mass at Heritage Hall. Condolence memories and messages may also be extended at https://www.nakamuramortuary.com/.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt mahalo to Dr Berera & Dr Booker, and the caring nurses at Maui Memorial Medical Center for their support and compassion.
