Bumanglag, Margie's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Margie Valdez Bumanglag, of Wailuku, Maui. A devoted mother and talented creator, she will be remembered for her warmth, love for family, and beautifully crafted life.
Born on May 26th, 1972 in Wailuku, Margie Bumanglag dedicated her life to being a mother. She found immense joy and fulfillment in raising her daughter, frequently stating that being a mom was her greatest accomplishment and greatest adventure.
Beyond her devotion to family, Margie was a vibrant spirit with a passion for crafts, cooking, cross-stitching, and diamond painting. She loved spending time at home creating beautiful, handmade pieces that brought warmth to those around her. One of her proudest and most cherished legacies was a cross-stitch project that her family worked on together over the span of many years. Though the finished and framed project was tragically lost in the Lahaina fires, the family will forever hold onto the memories of the laughter, patience, and love that went into creating it together.
Margie Bumanglag is survived by her loving daughter Mikayla Grace Bumanglag, Spouse Robert Ulep Bumanglag, Mother Merlie Layugan Valdez, Brothers George Valdez (Cheryl) and Andy Valdez Sr (Akemi), and a host of extended family and friends who will never forget the love and creativity she brought into their lives.
A celebration of life will be held on June 4th at 5:30pm at Christ the King Church, Kahului HI, with lunch reception on June 5th at 12:30pm at Nakamura Mortuary. All who knew and loved Margie are welcome to attend and celebrate the beautiful tapestry of her life.
