Maria R. Ganal's Obituary
The caretaker. Born on June 19, 1914 in Ragas, Marcos, Ilocos Norte in the Philippines, Maria Ganal was the middle of 7 children.
Upon arriving to Hawaii, she worked at Maui Land and Pineapple Company and after retiring, raised her grandchildren in her hometown of Haliimaile.
On March 29, 2016, Maria peacefully died in her home, surrounded by her close family.
Nana Maria is survived by her younger sister, Vicenta (Alejandrino) Rasos, Sr.; her children Jasmine (William) Aningat, Maximo (Ednalyn) Ganal, and Teresa (Jesus) Rapisura; 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Christ the King Church on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 6-9pm with prayer service at 7:30pm and visitation on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 will begin at 10am with mass at 11am and burial services to follow at Maui Memorial Park at 12:30pm.
All family and friends are invited for a luncheon after the burial at Christ the King cafeteria.
