Marian Yoshie Chong Kee's Obituary
Marian Yoshie Chong Kee, 97, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2016, with loving family by her side.
Services honoring Mrs. Chong Kee will take place on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with visitation from 9:00am to 10:30am, and mass at 11:00am. She will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Memorial Park at 12:30pm.
Marian was born on November 23, 1918 to Yoshitaro and Hatsu Matsumoto in Maui, HI.
Marian was a loan officer for HC&S Federal Credit Union. Marian loved music, painting, sewing, gardening, and being involved with the church. She was loved by all, and made an impact in people’s lives.
Marian was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter Chong Kee, whom she was married to for 47 years until his passing in 1990; son, Jimmy Chong Kee; and daughter in law, Irene “Cookie” Chong Kee.
Marian leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Linda (Fred) Lubera; Sons, Stanley (Barbara) Chong Kee, and Kenneth (Mary) Chong Kee; grandchildren, Teri Borge, Ryan Smythe, Lon Smythe, Britni Chong Kee-Otani, Cummins Chong Kee, Chris Chavez, Kelsey Chong Kee, and Lacy Dahlgren; and 10 loving great grandchildren.
