Marian Pu'u's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Marian (Ann) Pu'u, who shaped all our lives with her love, generosity and kindness. Ann died peacefully surrounded by her family on November 12th, 2024.
Ann was born to Antone and Lucy (Castro) Silva of Pohala. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her love of the ocean, travel and as a fan of the Green Bay Packers as well as her infectious laughter and warm hospitality.
She is predeceased by her loving Husband of 63years, David W. Pu'u of Makawao, her son Joseph, son-in-law, Thomas Ko'omoa and her brothers and sisters Tony, Carl, Frank, Wayne, and Janet.
She is survived by her sisters Barbara "Cookie" (Harold) Rodrigues and Claudia Thompson and their families, her children Carl (Cheryle), David (Julie), Lynn (Tom), Tami (Maurice), and Kelly (Eric). In addition, she leaves behind 11 grandchildren (Kawika, Michelle, Tawney, Lihau, Pai, Emma, Kamalei, Kate, Laura Amelia, and Kalen) and 12 Greatgrandchildren (Brice, Makana, Scott, Chacey, Brie, Tai, Cannon, Zayden, Ella, Mila, Simon, and Kade).
We give special thanks to the staff at Roselani Place and Hospice Maui who provided care and comfort to Ann.
