The jokes and sarcasms about a "Mother in Law" (or, the In-Laws being Outlaws) has no bearing here. Marlene is a beautiful human being whom I was fortunate to call MY mother in law for 28 years; and, 32 years as a maternal-motherly influence in my life. I am so very blessed to have been welcomed into her heart and life (and Mike's) through my relationship and marriage to Heather ["Heather-Feather"]. Mama Mongoose is a classic, there are few like her. Her pleasant demeanor and disposition welcomed all people. She was passionate about her art and sharing artistic culture with her family, her students, her friends. Accordion and ukulele playing will never be the same without you, Mama Leeny. Nor will golf! Your love and your light is timeless. Thank you for that love, which blessed your family and friends. I always appreciated your hospitality and kindness. Thanks for being another Mom to me when I was missing my Mom; whom died the year that I met your Heather-Feather. We had some great laughs, we had a few tears. No regrets, I would do it all over again. Rest in Heavenly Peace. Ryan
Marlene was an amazing artist and worked wonderfully with children. We enjoyed seeing her at St. John’s and especially when she did art projects with the Sunday school kids. She was loved by so many and will be missed.
