Martin Cafirma Cadiente's Obituary
Martin Cafirma Cadiente, 87, of Kahului, passed away peacefully at home under the compassionate care of Islands Hospice and surrounded by his loving family by his side on August 31, 2017.
Services honoring Mr. Cadiente will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Friday, September 29, 2017, visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00pm. On Saturday, September 30, 2017, visitation will be held from 8:00-10:00am. Mr. Cadiente will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Memorial Park at 10:30am.
Martin was born in Delfin Albano, Isabela, Philippines on July 9, 1930 to Tomas & Maxima Cadiente. He was the oldest of 7 children. After graduating from high school, Martin married his love, Dolores and together they raised four daughters.
He will be remembered as a humble, generous, loving and affectionate man with a good sense of humor and a heart of gold.
Martin was predeceased by his daughter, Nora Rimorin; brothers, Emilio (Clarita) & Clemente Cadiente; and son-in-law, Jack Mendoza. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 66 years, Dolores Cadiente; daughters, Lilia Mendoza, Lydia (Danilo Sr.) Rimorin & Soledad (Ernesto) Arconado; son-in-law, Alejandro Rimorin; 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a great granddog. He is also survived by brothers, Cesar (Lolita) Cadiente, Feliciano (Marcelina) Cadiente , Tomas Jr. (Charita) Cadiente & Manuel (Gorgonia) Cadiente; and sister-in-law, Lydia Cadiente.
The Cadiente family would like to extend special thanks to Islands Hospice, Kaiser Permanente, Pacific Cancer Institute, Maui Memorial Medical Center and loving relatives and friends for the exceptional care they provided for Mr. Cadiente.
