Mary Catherine "Kate" (Scott) Davis' Obituary
KIHEI, Hawaii -- Mary Catherine "Kate" (Scott) Davis of Kihei passed away suddenly on February 5, 2025 at the age of 70.
Kate was born March 12, 1954 in Seattle, Washington. She graduated from Bellevue High School before spending more than 40 years living in Eastern Washington, mostly in the Wenatchee Valley in East Wenatchee, Cashmere and Peshastin.
Kate worked as a medical transcriptionist at the Wenatchee Valley Clinic for about two decades.
She had a longtime connection to the island of Maui, frequently traveling there with her parents in her youth, then later traveling there often as an adult with her family and friends.
She moved to the island in 2018.
Kate had an intense love of animals and spent time in her retirement volunteering at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society and later the Maui Humane Society. She fostered and rescued a number of dogs and cats over the years.
Kate is survived by her children Ben, Tyler and Leah, and her older brother Bill Scott Jr. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill Sr. and Jean Scott, her husband Mike Davis and her older sister Deb Needham.
