Maximiniano Buldugo Cajudoy's Obituary
Maximiniano Baldugo Cajudoy, 89, of Napili, passed away on November 9, 2024, at Islands Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.
Maxi was born to Marcelo and Claudia Cajudoy on May 19, 1935, in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. In 1962, Maxi married his beautiful wife, Marina, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. In 1978, Maxi immigrated to Maui and settled in Napili, where he and Marina raised their six children. Maxi worked at Maui Land & Pineapple Company as both a planter and harvester before retiring in 1997. He will always be remembered for his love of gardening, which he enjoyed daily alongside his son-in-law and wife, as well as his passion for watching boxing matches on television whenever he could.
Maxi is predeceased by his parents; his siblings, Emilio, Lorenzo Sr., Valentin, Eusebio, Alejandra, Felipe Sr., Eduardo, Thomas and Catalina Cajudoy; and his sons, Danny and Wilson Cajudoy. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Marina Cajudoy, to hold his memory dear. Maxi is also survived by his children and their families: his daughter, Margaret (Roy) Sumajit, and their children, Rowena (Oliver) Nicolas, Rowel (Carlie), Ryan, and Riley Sumajit, as well as great-grandchildren Kaeden, Mana, Amara, Mark-Roy, and Kazuo Sumajit. His son, Pablo (Rayden) Cajudoy, and their children, Shayna (Pierce) Henkel, Shelton (Brianna), Shalia, and Shanelle Cajudoy, along with great-grandchildren Avery and Adelyn Henkel, and Atlas Cajudoy. His son, Antonio (Maricris) Cajudoy, and their children, LaTisha and Paige Cajudoy. His son, Edward Cajudoy, and his children, Jade, Kaden, and Alyssa Cajudoy. His son, Jessie (Malia) Cajudoy, and their children, Prince (Holly) Kapahulehua, Jayme, and Jordyn Cajudoy, along with great-grandchildren Chanse and Stella Kapahulehua. His son, Nelson (Torie) Cajudoy, and their children, Izabella, Tia, Alia Cajudoy, and Kholten Bacongo. Maxi was a loving patriarch and will be deeply missed by his family.
Please join us for services honoring Maximiniano on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Nakamura Mortuary. Public visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Maxi will be laid to rest at 12:00 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park.
