Melvin Santos Catugal's Obituary
Melvin S. Catugal 65, of Pukalani, Maui, was sent to the Lord on July 16, 2017 at Maui Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Services honoring Melvin will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Visitation will begin at 9:00am, with services beginning at 11:00am. Melvin will be laid to eternal rest, with military honors, on Monday August 14, 2017 at Maui Veterans Cemetery in Makawao at 11:00 am.
Mr. Catugal lived in Lahaina and graduated from Lahainaluna High School in 1970. He was a Vietnam
Combat Veteran who served in the Army. He was the Vice President and Production Manager at Walker Industries Ltd.
Mr. Catugal was predeceased by his father Rofo Catugal, his mother Encarnation Ompoy, his stepfather Maximo Ompoy and his brother Max Ompoy Jr.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter Allyson Catugal, his son Melvin Keanu Catugal and his siblings: James Catugal, Glen (Estelle) Catugal, Lorraine (James) Robinson,
Nelson (Faith) Ompoy, Vanessa (Narciso) Baylosis, Denley (Tracy) Ompoy, Thomas Ompoy and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
