Michael Philip Gray's Obituary
Michael Philip Gray, age 44, died April 11, 2014 at Maui Memorial Hospital in Wailuku, Hawaii.
He was born July 24, 1969 in Rosenberg, Texas.
Michael grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho and attended Twin Falls schools, College of Southern Idaho and Blue Mountain Community College, Bend, Oregon.
He also lived in Texas; John Day, Oregon; Bend, Oregon and Kihei, Hawaii.
Michael was a member of the Idaho National Guard and United States Army serving as a medic.
He was employed as a firefighter and also worked in the food service industry.
Anyone who knew Michael well would tell you he was a free spirit, that’s what led him to Hawaii. He was at his best and happiest there.
He was preceded in death by his mother Judith Dean.
Survivors include father Philip Gray, step mother Peggy Gray, John Day, Oregon ; sister Tammy Gray, Brunswick, Maine; half sister Jessica Mecuris, California; step sister Angela Carey, Kiezer, Oregon; step brother Andy Carey, North Bend, Oregon; several nieces and a nephew; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Michael’s cremains will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean by the Kihei Canoe Club of Kihei, Hawaii. A memorial will be held at a date to be determined.
