Michael Prais' Obituary
Michael Prais, 74, of Waikapū, passed away on January 24, 2024. He was born on December 21, 1949 in Pu’unene, Maui.
Michael is survived by his daughter Michelle (Kealoha) Range, grandchildren Remy and Paiʻea, and siblings, Sam (Irish) Kaeo and Ann (Benny) Lurendez. He was predeceased by his parents Graciano and Emily Prais, wife Remedios Prais, and brothers Jimmy Kaeo, Phillip Prais, Clifford Prais, Kalani Prais, and Francis Prais.
Michael served in the Air Force for 4 years and in the National Guard for 10 years. He then worked as a Chemical Coordinator at HC&S and retired in 2012.
Michael enjoyed playing volleyball, diving, and cooking. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his dog Boston. He was humble, kind, and big-hearted. Michael will truly be missed.
Services will be held at Christ the King Church on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 9am to 11am. Mass to follow. Burial will be at the Makawao Veterans Cemetery.
