Michael A. Rodrigues' Obituary
Michael Rodrigues, 79, of Kula, Maui, passed away on August 6th, 2024, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. “Mickey” as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was born, and raised in Haiku, Maui on Dec. 01, 1944.
Michael graduated from Maui High School in 1962. Following high school, he served in the U.S Navy, then worked at Haleakala for the federal government, and later went to Michigan to work for the GM. Michael retired from GM and moved back to Maui in 2001.
Michael enjoyed playing golf with his buddies, more than anything. He then met his Wife Dora (Dee). Together they enjoyed doing ballroom dancing, line-dancing, bon-dancing etc. Michael also enjoyed playing the ukulele and being a member of Kahului Lions Club.
Michael is survived by his wife: Dora(Dee) Takahashi-Rodrigues; sister: Mary Ann Rodrigues (Oahu); sons: Joe, Tony and Family of Michigan; Tomoyuki; Yoshifumi and family of Japan.
Michael will be truly missed by his family, friends, and all those he made laugh with his jokes.
