Mildred “Millie” Baldovi, age 82, of Kahului, Maui passed away on July 30, 2023 in Las Vegas. She was born on April 15, 1941 in Paia, HI. She graduated in 1960 from Maui High School in Hamakuapoko and retired from Discount Fabric Warehouse. Millie had a passion for sewing and a love for bowling, traveling, and taking photos.
Millie was a wife, a sister, a grandma, and a friend. She is survived by her daughters Monica Baldovi, Esther Baldovi, Angela (Axel) Davis, and Dickie-Lee Tran. Grandchildren; Malia Baldovi, Victoria Baldovi-Wong, Mark Angala, Angelo Davis, Austin Davis, Asa Davis, Aramis Davis, Travis Suzuki, Trevor Suzuki, Tracie-Lee Suzuki, Nikki Tran, Keola Baldovi, Kawika Fernandez, Ana Malia Fernandez, Jonathan Nam. Great grandchildren; Elijah Baldovi-Laloulu, Tristine Ramos Suzuki, Travis Ramos Suzuki Pre-deceased by her husband Richard K. Baldovi; Parents Alipio Cernal and Filomena Guangko; Her siblings Jean Kanae, Angeline Ricablanca, Dolores Faller, and Ponciano “Douglas” Cernal.
She was a beautiful, caring, generous, and loving person. She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and was always laughing and had a smile on her face. Also, she loved watching her k-dramas, martial arts movies, and cooking shows.
Thank you to Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican Hospital - Siena Campus, Valley Hospital Medical Center, AMG Specialty Hospital, Kindred Hospital, and St. Joseph Transitional Rehabilitation Center. Also a special thanks to Dr. Danish, Dr. Sayal, and their amazing staff who took exceptional care of her while in Las Vegas. In addition, thank you to Dr. Mitchell from Maui Medical Group who took care of her for many years.
Celebration of life will be on Saturday September 16, 2023 at Nakamura Mortuary in Wailuku. Viewing: Family (9-9:30a), Friends (9:30-10:30a), and Service (10:30-12p). Burial will be held on Tuesday September 19, 2023 at the Maui Veterans Cemetery in Makawao at 9am.
