Mitsue "Koga" Nishimura's Obituary
Mrs. Mitsue “Koga” Nishimura, 96, of Wailuku, passed away on April 28, 2016.
Services honoring Mrs. Nishimura will begin on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Nakamura Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, service at 11:00am, and a reception to follow at 12:00pm. Mrs. Nishimura will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Memorial Park at 2:00pm.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Mitsue was born on Jan. 16, 1920 to Tomekichi & Soyono Koga in Waiakoa, HI.
Mrs. Nishimura was a seamstress with Hawaiian Casuals, and later retired as a cashier at Ooka’s Market. After retiring, Nishimura enjoyed sewing, cooking, dancing, and spending time with family & friends. She genuinely cared about the well-being of others, near and far.
Mitsue was predeceased by her husband, Minoru “Blackie” Nishimura, whom she was married to until his passing in 1994.
Mitsue leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Gail (Howard) Nishimoto, and Pamela Morisaki; Sons, Calvin Nishimura, and Leslie Nishimura; Grandchildren, Tragg Nishimoto, Joey Nishimura, Guy (Samantha) Nishimura, Mari (John)Vanhtha, and Aidan Adonis; Great Grandchildren, Taylor, Kiyana & Lily Rose Nishimura, Jonah Valois-Nishimura, Seth, Aiden & Jett Vanhtha; and sister, Flora Umeno.
